Music Makers

Wednesdays from 10am-11am at the Stoker Home
(3528 S 900 E)

We hope that you will join us for “Music Makers” – a fun (and free!) Preschool program geared toward teaching children through music. We meet every Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Stoker Home (3528 S 900 E). Every week we gather to sing, learn finger plays, march in a band, dance to music and listen to stories – and we have a good time doing it! Please bring a puppet with you if you have one and a small (non-messy, please) snack for story time.  Everyone is welcome! Contact Shannon Stoker for more information. cell: 801-803-1448 or shannonstoker@gmail.com

***Please note:  This week and the week of the 24th we are actually meeting on Friday due to make-up days in preschool for 3 of the kids who come to music makers, but otherwise it's always Wednesdays from 10-11 at Shannon's house.

David Archuleta Tickets

From sweet Liz Marshall:

I have two tickets to the David Archuleta Christmas concert at Abravanel Hall tonight at 8:00 p.m. Jack's brother's wife passed away, so Jack is in Texas for the funeral. I'd really love to sell our tickets if possible. They were $45.65 each-- I bought them in September when they first went on sale so I think they are great seats--Orchestra right, aisle A, row 2, seats 31 & 32.

Call me at 299-9494 if you can be spontaneous and go so a sensational concert!

Humanitarian Night

Last night some of our neighborhood gathered to make candy cane reindeer! These will go to the gift shop at the Festival of Trees. Apparently they are very popular and sell well!!!! We ended up with 134 total and over 20 sets of hands to make them!
It was such a fun way to begin the holidays!
Thanks to EVERYONE who helped in any way!

Monkey Bread

I was reading the paper the other day and
it had the recipe for Monkey Bread.
An easy, fast treat for the holidays.
I thought I'd share because it's just that good.

Monkey Bread
4 cans (10 count) biscuits
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Cut the biscuits into fourths. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a large
zip-close bag and add the biscuit pieces. Shake to coat with the
cinnamon mixture. Pour half of the melted butter into a Bundt pan.
Layer the biscuit pieces and pour the remaining cinnamon mixture
over the top. Add the rest of the melted butter. Bake for 45 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from the pan.

Makes 12 servings.

Happy Holidays!
