Washington Elementary, the school that our neighborhood has adopted, had their Halloween Carnival last Friday night! Some of us got to go down and help them supervise the different activities that were planned.
The kids were SO excited to be there going from room to room playing the different games and winning their PRIZE! It was fun to see families coming together encouraging their kids to take part! It was such a rewarding evening for all of us who helped out! The PTA President, Karen and also Liz Beck the principal, were so appreciative and expressed that over and over!!!
We are also helping out with reading with the kids individually. This only takes about 1/2 hour each week and even less if you split the time with someone else. If you have time to give they could use more help! Please let us know!!! We'll get you set up! :)
